saving!

Saving for a new camera seems to really be a pain, I mean heh its just not going anywhere. But I guess what I'm really having a problem with right now is deciding which way to go. There's a few ways that I'm looking at right now, but both are a bit exspensive, here's the options I have right now ->

(1) Buy a nice film SLR, and an exspensive scanner. a nice film camera should set me back about 500 dollars, and a scanner about 400 or so, so thats $1000 CDN after taxes (roughly).

(2) or, Buy a canon digital rebel or the nikon equiv. but then that costs about 1500 dollars.

But then I have to wonder what kind of quality am I going to get after developing and scanning? I mean, I guess you can't really screw up development, but good film is really exspensive 2 rolls can set you back atleast 20 dolllars not to mention the annoyance of yet again, having another electronic device cluttering up my desk. mm and I mean , film can only get cheaper as digital gets more publicity, and digital cameras can only go down in price..., I guess I'll just have to keep saving.

sorry it has been so long since I updated :(, just been busy lately I guess!, also I had to remove the comments features because I was getting alot of spam and it just got annoying. Anyway, so this picture is a 1/24th scale model of a mercedes 300sl from 1954. It was really my frist attempt at a "studio" feel. It wasn't really that hard to set up. All I did was put a pillow case over the top of my laptop heh with the screen on for a little backlighting, also I used my lamp which as a 15w flourescent lightbulb, which isn't really a good idea because they give off a blue hue, althogh it worked well for this scene because I grayscaled the image in the end anyway. There is also another angle of this available at zyconium.com/z2005.php
